The Tar Sands Dragon Opera follows Mucha and Bubble Girl, who surrender themselves to detailed wonderings about the projected three-fold expansion of the Tar Sands and the proposal to reverse the Line 9 pipeline. Accompanied by the Pipeline Princes, Clever Ideas Guy and the Agitator, they courageously engineer even more Specific and Horrific Death Defying Acts, move through ethereal shadowlands Where There Be Dragons, and perform eulogies for the lands, waters and peoples already sacrificed to the Beast. The Tar Sands Dragon Opera toured communities along the Line 9 pipeline, from Chemical Valley next to Sarnia to Cornwall Ontario, and in Sherbrooke and Montreal Quebec.
